Resumo

Many microbiological agents have been used as weapons for centuries to the present. The most important ones are bacterial agents and maybe the most commonly known nowadays is Bacillus anthracis. There are others, such as Clostridium botulinum o Yersinia pestis, that have been used too and they could be considered a potential threat. All it entails is to reconsider the importance of knowing the diagnosis and clinic that can be produced by these microorganisms. It´s necessary to consider the procedure to follow in the case of a large-scale bioterrorist attack as well as the preparation of each country, because there is evidence about the deficiencies involving these emergency situations..
