Resumen

Data were transcribed from the archives of general anthropological forms collected by MPN between 1887 and 1924. Data were validated, filtered and finally pooled according to children age and the year of measurement. They were analysed in search of any secular trends and also in comparison with more contemporary published data from both national and international populations. Unpublished primary data for height and sitting height were collected from historical records of schoolchildren attending summer camps organized by the Spanish National Pedagogic Museum between 1887 and 1924. This work assesses a possible secular change in proportion between lower limbs and torso (cormic index), also comparing to later studies up to the present.
