Resum

Our concern for the amount waste (mainly plastic) that is generated and accumulated daily in our closest environments, this has led us to work on a strategy to raising awareness to promote reflection on recycling, favoring the reuse of these wastes in the classroom. This project is linked to two concepts that work together, on the one hand, Environmental Education, centered on assessing the importance of recycling in our educational environment, considering that is a proper place to give a formation, raising awareness and execution to promote environmental values in students’ daily gestures (3R: reduce, reuse and recycle). Other concept of the project is the, Artistic Education, first it is centered, in Trash art, which refers us to the possibility of creating works of art from any waste or any object that is commonly considered garbage; second it is centered, in the patrimony of Teruel (in this case is the bestiary of the Mudejar roof of the Cathedral of Santa María de Mediavilla), a cultural legacy that must be maintained and transmitted to the following generations, since it is a key piece of our collective memory
