Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis La traducción en España en el ámbito de las relaciones internacionales, con especial referencia a las naciones y lenguas germánicas (s.XVI-XIX) 2003. Supervised by Dr. Miguel Ángel Vega Cernuda.

Professor of Translation and Interpreting. Member of the research group FITISPos (University of Alcalá) and collaborator in the research group OLE-6 'Other Languages' (University of Oviedo). She specialises in the history of interpreting in diplomacy and international relations and in the translation history of German-language literature. She has also published extensively about the reception of Spanish-German cultural texts in prestigious journals and publishing houses. Recently she has embarked on a new line of research related to German-language graphic fiction. She co-directs the Master’s programme in Conference Interpreting for Business and leads the pedagogical development group iDEALE dedicated to foreign languages and translation. She develops service-learning projects with Wikimedia España.
