Doutor pola Universidad de Alcalá coa tese Contribución al diseño de conmutadores transparentes avanzados basados en tecnología Ethernet 2013. Dirixida por Dr/a. Guillermo Ibáñez Fernández.
In 1993, I completed my Telecommunications Engineering degree at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), where I served as a research assistant in the Department of Telematic Systems Engineering. Subsequently, I secured an FPU grant from the Ministry of Education (1994-1998). Towards the close of 1998, I assumed the role of Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic School of the University of Alcalá (UAH), progressing to the position of Associate Professor in 2001. My doctoral defense in advanced switches took place in 2013 at the University of Alcalá. Over the years, I have actively contributed to numerous national, international (EU), and regional research projects at both UPM and UAH. My research focus encompasses advanced switching architectures, Software Defined Networks (SDN), Internet of Things (IoT), and heterogeneous networks. I have a track record of publishing more than twenty articles in influential international telecommunications journals, and I have actively engaged in numerous national and international conferences. Since the end of 2019, I have been co-coordinating the NetIS research group, classified as High Performance at UAH (https://www.uah.es/en/research/research-units/research-groups/networks-and-intelligent-systems/), comprised of 25 professors and researchers. I am also responsible for the NetServ subgroup. I have been collaborating with the Madri+d Foundation since 2016 as an expert on the VERIFICA panel and with the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) since 2020 as a member of the Teacher Evaluation Programme (PEP). Furthermore, since October 2019, I have assumed the role of Director of Transparency at the University of Alcalá, a position equivalent to that of a dean of faculty.
