Resumo

In the present communication, the results of a case study framed within the I+D project called “Incidence of cooperative learning in the inclusion of students with high abilities” are set out. The project was carried out in a public school and Primary Education of the Community of Madrid. The main objective has to do with the implementation of a teacher education program on cooperative learning and attention to diversity including training sessions and coaching in the classroom, two days a week during the school year. The collection and analysis of data was performed through participant observation, in-depth interviews and questionnaires to teachers and students. The results show a positive change of teachers especially in classroom practices and strategies of attention to student diversity, also show certain common characteristics shared by those teachers who have achieved greater success in the implementation of cooperative learning as a strategy for attention to diversity.
