Abstract

The influx of workers from developing to developed countries is an increasingly important phenomenon. In fact, this is one of the central issues of economic relations. Economic exchange in the market of goods and capital has been intensified and promoted by institutions, since it is understood that this exchange benefits both economies. Migration is the manifestation of economic exchange in the labor market. These not promoted by institutions, but rather from trying to minimize them. Here we question whether this exchange in the labor market is likely to benefit not only source countries but also host economies. To do so, we succinctly try to analyze the macroeconomic effects of migration both from the standpoint of net importing country, to the net exporter point of view.
