Abstract

Shock. El Cóndor y el Puma is the result of a theatrical research about historic events which happened between 1950 and 2006. It is a documentary theatre piece inspired by the journalist Naomi Klein and her written work La doctrina del shock; about the development of the the neoliberal theories of the Chicago school, giving rise to the first part of the show. El Cóndor y el Puma refers to the second part, which documents Pinochet’s coup d'etat in Chile to Salvador Allende and Jorge Videla’s terror regime in Argentina.
