Abstract
This work studies the 3D reconstruction of deformable objects from a single image and a template of the object. The template consists of a reference shape of the object and a texture map. This work studies this problem for isometric and equiareal deformation models, where distances and areas are preserved in the object’s surface across deformations. this work proposes a theoretical study about this problem and proposes an algorithm to find a solution. This paper shows reconstruction results with synthetically generated data.
