Zusammenfassung

The Harvard Lampoon was born as a humoristic magazine launched by under- graduate students at Harvard University in 1876. In the last few decades, it has expanded its boundaries publishing books full of comedy, humour and parody, some of them based on best-selling novels (The Lord of the Rings, Twilight and The Hunger Games), with the following titles: Bored of the Rings, Nightlight and The Hunger Pains. In order to ac- complish their objective, The Harvard Lampoon parodies highlighted elements and people from the current society. As a result, these books are the best mixture between outstanding best-selling stories, brands and well-known people.
