Zusammenfassung

In the study of snow cover at a local level in high cloud environments, as is the case of the South Shetland Islands, high-resolution space Radar images were obtained to validate and design a new methodology for the analysis of the snowpack for the Antarctic Maritime, contributing to identify its thermal control over the active layer and the permafrost and opening a possible extension to the classification of snow-covered surfaces at a regional level.
