Full Professor of Language Education. Dr Laborda holds a BA in English Philology (1988, Universidad Complutense de Madrid), two MAs (University of Georgia, University of Wisconsin), a PhD in English Philology, and a European Doctorate in Didactics (Universidad Complutense). With four six-year teaching terms, three six-year research terms, and over 275 publications, he has served as Assistant Professor (University of Georgia, University of Wisconsin), Visiting Scholar (Penn State, Antwerp), and postgraduate instructor in Lithuania, Cyprus, Turkey, Colombia, and Brazil. Currently Dean of the Faculty of Education at Universidad de Alcalá (since 2019), he previously directed the Department of Modern Philology (2016-2019). He leads the RELTS research group, presides over the European Language Association for Specific Purposes, and is Editor-in-Chief or co-editor of four journals indexed in SCOPUS/ESCI.
